Child, grandmother and neighbour injured in dog attack


A toddler and her grandmother stay in hospital after a canine assault in Brisbane’s south.

The three-year-old lady and 64-year-old grandmother have been attacked by two bull mastiffs at their Algester dwelling about 7pm on Thursday.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the kid was significantly injured and suffered chew wounds to the neck, chest and abdomen.

The lady was in a secure situation on Friday night time.

Her grandmother suffered chew marks on her neck and the again of her head.

She underwent surgical procedure on the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A 3rd individual, a neighbour who rushed to the girl and kid’s help, was additionally hospitalised.

“They have been making an attempt to get in to assist with them and will have fallen from a fence… that individual has a again damage and a few cuts and grazes,” QAS senior operations officer Adrian Tong stated.

“We have been in a position to deal with them fairly rapidly and provide you with a plan… they have been met on the way in which to hospital by excessive acuity response unit,” he stated.

“The accidents that have been described to us by the crews was various chew marks, not only one or two, bruising, so it feels like it might have been a reasonably intense assault by the canines and it will need to have been horrifying for the individuals concerned.”
