UK teen arrested on suspicion of hacking






British police have arrested a 17-year-old in Oxfordshire on suspicion of hacking, as a part of an investigation supported by the Nationwide Cyber Crime Unit, Metropolis of London Police say.

The male was arrested on Thursday night and stays in police custody, the assertion stated.

Police have been investigating the “Lapsus$” hacking group, which ride-hailing firm Uber Applied sciences stated was liable for a cyber assault that pressured it to close some inside networks quickly earlier this month.

The police couldn’t verify if the arrest was associated to that investigation.

The Uber hacker, who goes by the title “teapotuberhacker,” was additionally reportedly claimed to have leaked early gameplay footage of Take-Two Interactive Software program Inc’s much-awaited sport Grand Theft Auto VI.

In April, Metropolis of London Police charged two youngsters aged 16 and 17 in reference to an investigation into hacking.

They had been bailed forward of a trial scheduled for July 2023.
